Breathe Better:
A Brighter Future

You're not alone in your journey. Explore a potential care option for severe asthma that may help you better manage your symptoms.

What is Asthma?

Asthma

Asthma is a chronic lung condition that affects how you breathe. It can cause your airways to become swollen and irritated, making it harder for air to move in and out of your lungs.

People with asthma might experience:

  • Wheezing: A whistling sound when you breathe.
  • Coughing: This can be especially bad at night or early in the morning.
  • Shortness of breath: Feeling like you can't get enough air.
  • Chest tightness: Feeling pressure or pain in your chest.

The good news is that there are ways to manage asthma and help you breathe easier.

These symptoms can vary from person to person and change over time. Some people might have mild symptoms occasionally, while others experience more severe symptoms more often.

Severe Asthma

Severe asthma is a more serious form of asthma that can be much harder to control. Even with regular medication and treatment plans, people with severe asthma often still experience:

  • Frequent and intense symptoms: Wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness can happen much more often and be more intense than in mild or moderate asthma.
  • Difficulty with everyday activities: Severe asthma symptoms can make it hard to work, exercise, sleep, or even just relax.
  • Asthma attacks: These can be very serious and sometimes require emergency medical care.

While severe asthma can be challenging, it's important to remember that there are treatments available and participating in research is a potential option.
